RENEGADES COMPLETE 3RD STRAIGHT SERIES SWEEP;
CRUSH FHWA 18-8 FOR 1ST MSESL TITLE

October 4, 2002...A happy bunch of Bisons celebrate their first ever MSESL title at Sweetwater CafeOctober 5, 2002....The Motor Pool Renegades clinched their 1st ever MSESL Championship after trouncing FHWA 18-8 last night at Boston Common. Behind superb pitching from Al "The Natural" Miller, steady defense and 5 more homers, a determined band of Bisons ended several years of post season frustration by completing their third straight '02 post season sweep. A relentless Renegade offense scored in every inning while Miller held FHWA in check allowing just 3 runs over the first six innings as the Renegades rumbled to their first MSESL title. Chuck Kostro (4 for 4, 5 RBI) and Vin Digilio (3 for 3, 4 RBI) each homered twice while John Megan (4 for 5) also went deep for the Renegades.
