The Motor Pool Renegades...2007 MSESL Champions
A 3-PEAT FOR BISONS!!!
9-run 8th INNING RALLY GIVES RENEGADES 5TH TITLE IN 6 YEARS

The Gang's All Here....Bisons celebrate a 3rd straight title and 5th in 6 years at SweetwaterOctober 3, 2007....It was a sweep but is sure wasn't easy. The Renegades capped off a tremendous 2007 season with their 3rd straight title and 5th in the past 6 years with a classic 28-19 extra inning slugfest win last night over the gutsy Bridge Rebels at the Common. The Bisons appeared to have the title in hand when they took what looked like a safe 19-12 lead into the bottom of the 7th but the Rebels stormed all the way back with 7 runs to tie the game and send it into extra frames. At that point the Bisons felt pretty fortunate to head into extra innings because it looked as though the Rebels were going to pull out the win in the 7th as they had the winning run on base before Al Miller retired Jose Colon on a long fly to left center for the final out of the inning. But the Bisons answered like true champions erupting for 9 runs in the top of the 8th to finally put away a game Bridge Rebel team. Kostas Kofitsas knocked in the first run of the inning with a SAC fly and John Megan knocked in 2 more with a 2-run homer, his second roundtripper of the game. The Bisons would send 6 more runners across the plate for a 9-run 8th inning rally. The Nat held the Rebels scoreless in the 8th and the Renegades got the final 2 outs of the season with a 4-6-3 double play. The Boys of Bison celebrated their win at the Common and then headed over to Sweetwater for a long night of championship celebration. Follow this link to a story on the 2007 Motor Pool Renegades.
