RENEGADES RALLY FROM EARLY 5-0 DEFICIT; SWEEP FHWA FOR 2ND
STRAIGHT TITLE; ROCHE, KOSTRO AND DIGILIO ALL HOMER FOR BISONS
September
13, 2003.....The Motor Pool Renegades won their 2nd straight MSESL title
last night at Boston Common with a 17-9 victory over FHWA. It was the second
straight Finals sweep of FHWA for the Renegades. Al Miller won his 9th
consecutive post season game but only after the Bisons rallied from an early
5-0 deficit. The Renegades broke open an 8-8 tie with 4 runs in the bottom
of the 4th inning and after FHWA pulled within 12-9 with a single run in the
top of the 5th, the Bisons put the game and series away with 5 runs in the
bottom of the 6th to clinch their second straight title. John Roche, Chuck
Kostro and Vin Digilio all homered for the Bisons while Brian Fallon led the
25-hit attack with a 4 for 4 night.
